	Environmental Services: When you walk into Luther Manor, you will notice immediately the clean and pleasant surroundings. It is because of the dedicated hard working members of our environmental services team. Long hours and many hands are required to keep a facility of this size clean and running smoothly. Housekeeping/Laundry and Maintenance Departments make up our Environmental Services Department.

Housekeeping:
The staff of housekeepers work diligently to keep our 110,000 square feet of building in tip top shape for our residents, families, guests, and staff. The complete facility is cleaned once a day. Each individual room is deep cleaned on a six-week basis.

Laundry:
The laundry staff processes 1800 pounds of laundry each day. This includes resident’s personal laundry, linens, tablecloths, and napkins. Our laundry works two shifts daily to keep up with the demands.

Maintenance:
In maintenance we have two staff on floor care, working to keep our floors clean and shining. Two maintenance employees work full time and on call to keep our 30 miles of wiring and 13 miles of plumbing operating smoothly. They also keep our three boilers and 12 furnace units, 130 individual air conditioning units as well as 95 tons of central air conditioning and air handlers all in top working order. For the safety of our staff and residents our facility is equipped with sprinkler and up to date fire alarm system. Our retirement community comes complete with a back up generator that will operate in case of emergency.

In addition the entire daily care of the interior and exterior of our building our maintenance department is in charge of grounds, including garden and patio area, parking lot, and walks (grass and snow removal).
